We used this opportunity to make the community aware of our project with the Sandy Springs Library Garden. It was also a good time to talk to prospective new members.

Lost Corner Preserve Garden
Sandy Springs Garden Club members are part of the North Fulton Master Gardener project that maintains the garden beds around the cottage at Lost Corner Preserve.

Sandy Springs Farmers Market August 2024
In the August, the Sandy Springs Garden Club members had a booth at the Sandy Springs Farmers Market. Besides promoting the club, we also promoted the Pollinator Census that was taking place that day. Interested patrons were directed to the Pollinator Census booth to take part in the census.

Sandy Springs Conservancy Thought Leaders Dinner
On September 20, 2024 members of the Sandy Springs Garden Club attended the Sandy Springs Conservancy Thought Leaders Dinner at the Morgan Falls Overlook Park. It was a great opportunity to mingle with environmentally conscious members of the Sandy Springs Community.

Ison Springs Elementary Workday
The Sandy Springs Garden Club was invited to send a few members to help with the planting of a garden at Ison Springs Elementary in October. Carrie Grayson (and husband Hal) represented the club. She was able to connect with the school principal and to learn of gardening needs at the school. We are working to have some joint endeavors with this school in Sandy Springs.

Blue Star Marker Dedication
The Cherokee Garden Club dedicated a Blue Star Maker at the Atlanta History Center on November 10, 2024. Members of the Sandy Springs Garden Club attended to show their support for a Dogwood District Club.
